Tamiya presents the 1/10 scale R/C model of Frenchman Jean Alesi's No. 8 AMG Mercedes-
Benz C-Class DTM 2004. The Mercedes C-Class comes with a fully finished body, with paint
and markings pre-applied, and is mounted on the user-friendly TT-01 chassis.
About the Mercedes C-Class
There were 4 differently colored AMG Mercedes C-Class cars competing in the 2004 German
Touring Car Masters Championship (DTM-Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft). Former
F-1 Driver Jean Alesi’s metallic silver No. 8 was noticeable by the strikingly large AMG logos
on the bonnet and sides. Alesi put in a strong performance in his third season in the German
DTM, coming in 7th in the drivers’ championship. Mercedes came in second in the
manufacturers’ championship, missing first place to rival Audi by a mere 4 points.
